Why Would I Give You My Son/Daughter

Saturday your very own, TeAire Griffin, was apart of a panel discussion for a women's conference entitled Intentionally Created for a Divine Purpose, where the topic was Single, Saved and Serving. She stated how serving was vital to a single's life. It helps us in three ways:

1. Serving helps us to be positioned properly. Women, it helps us to be in position to be found. Men, it helps you find who you are seeking because she is in position, and you are also in position so you both are in the same place at the same time. Being out of position will cause you to miss opportunities because of your disobedience. Positioning has nothing to do with being seen ladies. He said delight in the Lord and he gives us the desires of our heart. Delighting in him in service, because you want too not out of obligation, positions you because you always want to be where he is. When you learn God's presence and begin to love it, you'll always want his presence around and you'll search for it in every relationship. In his presence is freedom and at his right hand pleasures forevermore. Being in his presence, at his feet and serving him are the best positions, with return on investments.

2. Serving positions your heart in purity. When you serve, you are availing yourself to something else besides you; whenever you come outside of you, you are acting selflessly. It's better to give than to receive. God knows our heart and if we are working as unto him, he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him. In serving, if you have the wrong heart and motive, God can do a work in you. You can't serve too long without being changed or your true nature being revealed. God wants the true you so he can bless you with Kingdom. If you are acting counterfeit, you attract counterfeit.

3. Serving strengthens you for and during the single season. He said they that wait upon the Lord, he will renew your strength. So if you ever feel like giving up, keep serving and see strength take over when you are at "your" end. Your end is God's place to step in because it is him that will bring things together and that's what we want. What God brings together let no man put asunder. At some point, you have to let go of control for God to get his best to you. Serving pushes you, refills you, mounts you on wings like eagles; you'll run and not get weary and you'll walk and never faint. Actively wait on God by using your hands. Build the store house, water the seeds, learn your ground (to quickly recognize what's not needed and what is, quickly knowing what doesn't belong) pull up the weeds, nurture and learn how to effectively tend your garden and survive this season of planting and tending (the first thing Adam was assigned to do before he got the wife). When a wife comes, she has to have something to work with and if she was working before you, she will come in working with you (unlike a stubborn donkey, you want to be linked to a clean oxen, they want to work - word to the wise).

Don't rush from this season unprepared. Before God gives you the real thing, he gives you the model to prune you, train you and prepare you for the real thing. If you can't take care of his sheep, why would he give you his people.

Our question everyday to God as a single, should be, "How can I serve you today"? A waiter is moving not waiting.
